Houston area CAP members receive USMC KC-130
Orientation Flight
17 April 2005
Conroe, Texas -- Members from across
the Houston area gathered Saturday morning at the Lonestar Executive
Airport (CXO) for an opportunity to take a military orientation flight
in a United States Marine Corps KC-130.
Approximately 50 cadets and seniors
received orientation flights on the aircraft.
With about an hour flying, all the cadets
on board the aircraft were able to walk around and most got a chance to
climb up top to the flight deck.
Everyone involved had an outstanding flight and most undoubtedly received a ride
they will never forget. We thank the United States Marine Corps
for providing this great opportunity to the members of the Civil Air
Patrol and to the members of the 7-6 Air Cavalry Composite Squadron who
coordinated this flight for everyone else to enjoy.
