Lackland
AFB - On February 3rd Lackland Composite Squadron (SWR-TX007)
participated in an Emergency Services Class.
“Safety is our number one priority!” - a typical saying within the Civil
Air Patrol was greatly stressed as part of the recent Emergency Services
class which targeted Civil Air Patrol Test 116. The class was taught by
Senior Member (SM)/Lt Col
Kowalewski, Group 5 Operations Officer, and was held at the Wilford Hall
Medical Center, on Lackland AFB. Fifteen members of the Lackland Cadet
Squadron participated in the class that covered a wide range of
instructional material such as the Incident Command Structure,
Organizational Management, Blood Borne Pathogens, Hazardous Material
Identification, and basic info on Search and Rescue. The cadets are
currently training for a Field Training Exercise that will be hosted by
the Brownsville Composite Squadron later this month.
