Lackland COC and Promotion

4 Sep 2007
Lackland AFB - At the Lackland Cadet Squadron meeting held on August 6, 2007, a ceremony was held, transferring command of the squadron from Cadet /Captain (C/Capt) Gus Rojas to Cadet /First Lieutenant (C/1Lt) Jeffery Cigrang.  The ceremony included the traditional presenting of the colors to the new commander.  This is symbolic of the new commander’s authority, because the squadron’s allegiance belongs to whoever holds the colors.  C/1Lt Cigrang is now in charge of, as well as responsible to, forty cadets.  We would like to congratulate him on his new position, as we look forward to the rest of this year, what will no doubt continue to be outstanding!  The ceremony ended with Cadet/Kristopher Kerr receiving his promotion to C/Technical Sergeant (TSgt).
