SAN ANTONIO, Texas – On 2 June 2008 the
Lackland Cadet Squadron received a visit from 2d Lt Andrew L. Vasquez, a
recent United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) graduate. Lt Vasquez, an
Admissions Advisor for Region 4, talked to the cadets on how life was at
the academy and what to expect if they attended. He also answered
numerous questions that the cadets had to ask. Then he explained how to
make an impressive resume by getting involved in extracurricular
activities and sports, working hard in school academically, and taking
up leadership positions. Lt Vasquez’s speech had amazing impact on the
cadets of the Lackland Cadet Squadron, by inspiring many to strive to
attend the USAFA.
