CTEP is the Cadet Training
and Education Program for Texas Wing. It is the overall program for Wing
Cadet activities. Formed in 1998, CTEP is meant to standardize and run
cadet activities throughout the Wing. CTEP Executive Staff is composed
of cadets and seniors from around the Wing. It is a group planning,
designing, organizing, and running Wing cadet activities under the
supervision of the Wing Director of Cadet Programs.
WHY DO I NEED TO GO TO THIS SCHOOL? CTEP Leadership School is the crown
jewel of the Texas Wing Cadet Program. More than any other program, CTEP
has improved the training, standardization and leadership skills of
Texas Cadets. Acceptance to staff positions at encampments is determined
(in part) by CTEP participation. The majority of the cadets that hold
staff positions are CTEP graduates. Even if your squadron has a high
quality program, the opportunity to interact with high-speed cadets from
throughout the Wing is invaluable.
Below is the cadet progression chart for CTEP schools. It describes the
order of schools to cadet grades. Note that airman leadership schools
are not conducted at the wing level but rather the group and squadron
level. The ALS curriculum is directed by Texas Wing however and can be
found online. ALS is not depicted on the chart below, however, ALS's are
designed for cadet airman, airman first class, and senior airman. |
